Giving Day
Giving Day Returns this Michaelmas!

We are thrilled to announce the return of our , taking place from 9am on Wednesday 22 October to 9pm on Thursday 23 October 2025. This year, we warmly invite alumnae, students, staff, Fellows, parents and friends to come together in support of three key funds that will enrich the lives of current and future students.
Following the success of our inaugural Giving Day in 2024, which celebrated 70 years since our founding as New Hall, we want to build on that momentum. Because of your generosity last year, we were able to provide hardship grants, expand our outreach programmes, and further our commitment to environmental sustainability, earning the Platinum Green Impact Award in recognition of our efforts.
We are asking you to support our three transformative funds:
- The Library Transformation Project -The Rosemary Murray Library is the heart of student life at College: a place of learning, reflection and community. With your support, we will restore and reimagine this Grade II*-listed space into a light-filled, sustainable, and accessible environment that meets the needs of today’s students. Improvements will include refurbished study spaces, better lighting and insulation, and a more inviting atmosphere that combats isolation and encourages collaboration.
- The Cambridge Bursary Scheme - Through the Cambridge Bursary Scheme, we provide non-repayable means-tested grants of up to £4,500 per year to students from low-income backgrounds. These bursaries enable students to focus on their studies and take full advantage of all that Cambridge has to offer, without the stress of financial insecurity.
- The College Priorities Fund -This fund allows us to respond to our most pressing needs and direct resources where they will have the greatest impact, from awarding hardship grants, to investing in our estate. Every gift to this fund supports the College’s long-term vision and ability to remain agile in a changing world.
