Hosted at Murray Edward College, the Sixth Form Lecture Series will dive into English Literature, French, Spanish, Classics and many more literature and language-based subjects by exploring many commonly studied A Level texts and topics in new and interesting ways.
Join us at Â鶹ƵµÀ (Â鶹ƵµÀ, Huntingdon Road, Cambridge CB3 0DF) from 17:30 for refreshments and informal conversations with current students. The lectures themselves will begin at 18:00 and be an hour in duration.

This lecture will explore some A Level set texts, available in graphic adaptations and how this quintessentially French phenomenon manifests itself across the French-speaking world.
This lecture will be delivered by one of Â鶹ƵµÀ’s Professorial Fellow, Professor Charles Forsdick. Professor Forsdick’s research interests are in Francophone postcolonial studies - particularly postcolonial literature; French colonial history (including Haiti); the transatlantic traffic in enslaved Africans; travel writing and exoticism; translation studies; world literature and graphic fiction.
